A girl lost her life and another got seriously injured when a train hit them while they were on their way to coaching centres in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district. Varsha was immediately taken to a medical college in Orai and Kajal's body has been sent for post-mortem.
The Principal of the medical college, Dr Rajesh Kumar Maurya, told PTI that Varsha was referred to Kanpur Medical College for further treatment.
One of the possible reasons for the accident to take place might have been the low visibility which made the locomotive driver unable to see the girls on time and act accordingly. A dense layer of fog was seen covering the skyline of Uttar Pradesh's on Saturday.
