Start Preparations For 2024 LS Polls, Aim To Win 75 Seats In UP: CM Adityanath Asks BJP Workers

The BJP had won 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh while its ally Apna Dal (S) registered victory in two seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers to begin preparations for the 2024 general elections and move ahead with the target of winning 75 out of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state. “We have to prepare the ground for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from now only. We should move ahead with the target of winning 75 seats,” PTI quoted Adityanath as saying at the BJP’s one-day state executive meeting in Lucknow.

The BJP had won 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh while its ally Apna Dal (S) registered victory in two seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Adityanath said the BJP got better results in the assembly polls “with the help of people and by dint of our hard work during Covid”.

“In the 2024 general elections, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have to march ahead with the target of winning 75 seats in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister congratulated Modi for completing eight years as the Prime Minister.

Adityanath said the BJP will succeed in its achieving its target with the 2024 roadmap.

Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh addressing the meeting earlier congratulated Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, senior party leaders and people of the state for the saffron party’s victory in the assembly elections.

This was the first state executive meeting of the BJP after the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
