Shoe Hurled At Swami Prasad Maurya On ‘Instructions’ Of BJP Govt, Alleges SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav

On Monday, a shoe was hurled at SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya after which the OBC leader’s supporters thrashed the man during an event held in Lucknow.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday alleged that the shoe hurled at party leader Swami Prasad Maurya at an event was on the instructions of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The former UP CM called it a conspiracy by the saffron party to spoil the event and disrespect a big leader of the backward community. “The conspiracy to spoil this event and disrespect a big leader of the backwards community was done on the instructions of BJP and the government,” Yadav said.

“Those who talk about zero tolerance, what sort of zero tolerance is this where anyone barges at someone's event and humiliates them,” he said while speaking to reporters in Lucknow.

“The backwardness that is prevalent today is the result of social conspiracy. It's a long fight but we need to be cautious of BJP’s conspiracy,” said the SP supremo.

Cornering the state’s BJP government, he said, “Those who say sabka saath, there is no social equality in their slogan. They want everyone's cooperation but don't want to end inequality. That's why they want to control power everywhere.”

Maurya claimed that the person who hurled the shoe was an office bearer and a worker of BJP.
