Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Varanasi, where he participated in various events, took an unexpected turn when a young man attempted to breach security to meet the Varanasi Lok Sabha MP. The incident occurred as PM Modi was returning after attending programs at the Rudraksha Convention Center and heading towards Babatpur Airport. A young man, believed to be affiliated with the BJP, made an effort to approach the Prime Minister's convoy. However, he was intercepted and apprehended by security personnel before he could get within 10 feet of the Prime Minister.

Sources suggest that the young man, who is reportedly a member of the armed forces, was seeking an audience with the Prime Minister to discuss employment opportunities and is known to be associated with the BJP. Authorities are now conducting an investigation and questioning the individual, aiming to uncover the motive behind his actions.

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Varanasi included significant engagements such as laying the foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium and inaugurating 16 Atal Institutes of Uttar Pradesh. During his visit, he stressed the positive impact of sports infrastructure, emphasising that it not only enhances sports but also has a significant positive effect on the local economy.

PM Modi also addressed an all-women public meeting in Varanasi where he said that the Women's Reservation Bill will be strengthened when opportunities for women increase.

"Women's leadership may be a modern approach for the rest of the world, but we are people who worship Goddess Parvati and Mother Ganga before Lord Shiva... Varanasi is the birthplace of warriors like Rani Lakshmi Bai... From Rani Lakshmi Bai in the independence struggle to women in Chandrayaan-3, we have proven in every era what women's leadership is," he added.
