Modi In Varanasi: PM To Lay Foundation Stone Of Int'l Cricket Stadium, Address Women's Rally Today

PM Narendra Modi will also inaugurate 16 newly constructed Atal Residential Schools in Varanasi.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone of an international cricket stadium in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi today. He will also address a rally of women supporters where he will speak about the Women’s quota Bill passed by Parliament during a five-day special session. PM Modi will also inaugurate 16 newly constructed Atal Residential Schools in Varanasi.

According to reports, PM Modi is expected to reach Varanasi at 1:30 pm and will spend around seven hours there.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the cricket stadium in Ganjari. He will then address a rally of over 5,000 women at the Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023," news agency PTI quoted Varanasi Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma as saying.

“He will then reach Rudraksh Centre where he will inaugurate 16 newly constructed Atal Residential Schools,” Sharma added.

In a press release, the Uttar Pradesh government said that it has spent Rs 121 crore to acquire the land for the cricket stadium while the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will spend Rs 330 crore on its construction.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on Friday, “Tomorrow another golden chapter is going to be added in the incredible development journey of Baba Shri Vishwanath ji's holy city Kashi. Respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji will lay the foundation stone of 'International Cricket Stadium' worth approximately Rs 451 crores in Varanasi tomorrow. Besides this, the Kashi MP will also participate in the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the Cultural Mahotsav 2023 and inaugurate 16 newly constructed Atal Residential Schools at a cost of approximately Rs 1,115 crore. Hearty congratulations to you Prime Minister.”

PM Modi To Inaugurate International Lawyers’ Conference In Delhi

PM Modi will inaugurate ‘International Lawyers’ Conference 2023’ at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today. He will also address the gathering on the occasion at 10am.

International Lawyer's Conference 2023 is being organised by Bar Council of India on the theme ‘Emerging Challenges in Justice Delivery System’ today and tomorrow.

The conference aims to serve as a platform for dialogue and discussion on various legal topics of national and international importance, help exchanging of ideas, and boost international cooperation and understanding on legal issues.

The conference, which is being organised for the first time in the country, will discuss topics such as emerging legal trends, challenges in cross-border litigation, legal technology, environmental law, among others.
