Telangana: Rave Party Busted In Hyderabad's Madhapur Cyber Towers, 20 Arrested

In addition to the narcotics, an Innova Crysta vehicle, allegedly used for transporting the illicit items, was also confiscated.

The Ranga Reddy District Special Task Force (STF) police successfully raided and busted a rave party at the Cloud 9 Homes service apartment near Madhapur Cyber Tower in Telangana on Thursday. The raid, which took place on a tip-off led to the discovery of drugs and foreign liquor. Following this, around 20 persons including six women were arrested.

The party was reportedly organised to celebrate the birthday of Nagaraju Yadav, a realtor and a resident of Begumpet. Among the attendees were 14 young men and six young women. During the raid, authorities seized 1 gram of cocaine, 2 grams of MDMA, 0.68 grams of OG Kush and various quantities of foreign liquor. The total value of the seized items, including the drugs and liquor, was estimated at Rs 1.25 lakh rupees.

Police sources revealed that the drugs were sourced from Goa, a known hub for such substances. In addition to the narcotics, an Innova Crysta vehicle, allegedly used for transporting the illicit items, was also confiscated.

The operation was carried out by the Ranga Reddy District STF who acted promptly upon receiving information about the illegal event.

All the detained individuals are currently undergoing interrogation. The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of the community.

Meanwhile, the rave party was busted on the same day that Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who also oversees the Finance portfolio, announced plans for a dedicated mechanism to expedite trials for drug-related offenses. He stated on Thursday that this new system would ensure the swift conviction of offenders and discourage involvement in drug-related activities.

Telangana as part of Budget Estimates has proposed allocating Rs 9,564 crore to the Home Department, with a significant emphasis on combating the sale and use of narcotics.
