BJP Only Scared Of AAP, Wants Party To Be Crushed And Finished: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal In Punjab
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alluded to a string of electoral victories in Delhi and Punjab, as well as a growing presence in states like Gujarat and Goa.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday launched a blistering attack at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the ruling party of defaming the AAP. Kejriwal's remarks came during an event celebrating the Punjab government's recent acquisition of a power plant, where he also highlighted the BJP's alleged withholding of funds meant for AAP-ruled Punjab.
"Today the BJP is scared of only one party and that is the AAP. The AAP is not letting it sleep. They want the AAP to be crushed and finished", PTI quoted CM Kejriwal as saying. He also accused the Centre of withholding Rs 8,000 crore funds of AAP-ruled Punjab. Delhi CM Kejriwal further said, "Works that the AAP can undertake, the BJP cannot. If you have the courage, then do some work", as per PTI.
Delhi CM Kejriwal Lists AAP's Governance Achievements
Kejriwal also alluded to a string of electoral victories in Delhi and Punjab, as well as a growing presence in states like Gujarat and Goa. He emphasised the AAP's burgeoning electoral strength and grassroots support, which he believes poses a significant threat to the BJP's dominance.
"We have one strength, and that is honesty with clear intentions. We serve the people. We build schools, hospitals, set electricity right, build roads," proclaimed Kejriwal, underscoring the AAP's governance achievements.
CM Kejriwal accused the BJP govt of doing nothing in these years. "For 30 years, it has been running a government in Gujarat, and for 15 years, in Madhya Pradesh, and they could not set a single school right. They did nothing", Kejriwal said, as quoted by PTI.
Kejriwal condemned the summonses issued to him by investigative agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate, viewing them as politically motivated attempts to stifle dissent and tarnish the AAP's image.
