WATCH: Chris Lynn's Whopping 11 Sixes On His Way To 94 Runs Off 35 Balls In BBL
The swashbuckling batsman who hit 11 sixes against Sydney Sixers was just one six away from smashing Craig Simmons' record of the fastest BBL hundred
Sydney: Aussie hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn almost smashed Big Bash League's (BBL) quickest century with a fiery 35-ball 94 knock for Brisbane Heat on Sunday. Chris Lynn (94 off 35 balls) was dismissed by getting caught on the boundary when he was going for the quickest century in Big Bash history. The swashbuckling batsman who hit 11 sixes against Sydney Sixers was just one six away from smashing Craig Simmons' record of the fastest BBL hundred.
Lynn - who scored his half century in just 20 balls - also became the first man to bring up 2,000 runs in the BBL.
The Brisbane heat finished their innings on a huge total of 209/4. It will be an uphill task for the Sixers to chase down the mammoth target as they'll have to post their highest total in team history.
Recently, Lynn expressed excitement on social media as he tweeted immediately after being snapped up by the defending champions Mumbai at his base price of Rs 2 crore.
Lynn said he won't have to face ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah since they will now play for the same franchise. "Great City, Quality Franchise, Flat wicket, Don't have to play against Jasprit Bumrah. Can't wait for @IPL 2020," Lynn tweeted.
