BCCI To Announce Indian Squad For T20 World Cup 2022 On September 15: Report

The Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022 will most likely be announced on 15 September, Insidesport reported. Many young players can also get a chance in the Rohit Sharma-led Indian squad. 

According to the report in Insidesport, the Indian team for the T20 World Cup can be announced on 15th September. Before this, there will be a meeting of the selection committee in Mumbai. The Indian team, captained by Rohit Sharma, will participate in the Asia Cup from August 28, in which the performance of players will be sharply analyzed by the selection committee before the big announcement. The Indian team for T20 World Cup might be announced after the final match of the Asia Cup.

The International Council for Cricket (ICC) has set 16th September as the deadline for all the cricket boards to announce their teams for T20 World Cup 2022. Teams can only include a maximum of 15 players for this tournament. ICC has allowed teams to bring 23 members together. It can have 15 players and 8 support staff members.

Notably, the T20 World Cup 2022 match will be played between India and Pakistan on 23rd October. After this, there will be a match between India and South Africa on 30th October. Team India will play a match against Bangladesh on November 2  The first semi-final of the tournament will be played on November 9. While the second semi-final will be held on November 10. The final match will be played on 13th November.
