India's star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra created history at the Doha Diamond League, recording a career-best throw of 90.23 meters and breaching the iconic 90-meter mark for the first time. This performance marked a major milestone in Neeraj's career.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Neeraj on social media, commending the athlete for making the nation proud on the global stage.

“A spectacular feat! Congratulations to Neeraj Chopra for breaching the 90 m mark at Doha Diamond League 2025 and achieving his personal best throw. This is the outcome of his relentless dedication, discipline and passion. India is elated and proud," PM Modi posted on X.

Neeraj Chopra breaks 90-meter barrier for first time

India's pride and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra has etched his name into the history books.

At the Doha Diamond League, Neeraj finally breached the 90-meter mark - something Indian fans had eagerly anticipated for years. On Friday, the 27-year-old threw a massive 90.23 meters in his third attempt, setting a new personal best and becoming the 25th athlete in the world to cross this elite mark.

Neeraj Chopra's performance in Doha:

1st Attempt: 88.44 meters

2nd Attempt: Modest

3rd Attempt: 90.23 meters (career-best)
