In the year 1992 at Sydney, Shane Warne made his Test debut against India. He could not do much in his first Test and was able to pick only one wicket. Warne (32 wickets in 11 Tests) was considered to be an average leg-spinner before he made his debut in the 1993 Ashes series.
Warne took 7 wickets for 52 against West Indies in the 1992 Boxing Day Test. His real talent came to the fore in the 1993 Ashes series. He took 29 wickets in 5 Tests in his first Ashes series.
