Namaste Trump: BCCI President Ganguly, Jay Shah Among Eminent Personalities At World's Largest Cricket Stadium

Amid heavy security, Donald Trump and his wife Melania arrived at the world's largest cricket facility to address a lac plus crowd at the 'Namaste Trump' Event.

New Delhi: BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah are present along with top luminaries across different walks of life at the World's Largest Cricket Stadium Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, ahead of 'Namaste Trump' event at the stadium, which will be addressed by American President Donald Trump. Amid heavy security, Donald Trump and his wife Melania arrived at the world's largest cricket facility to address a lac plus crowd at the 'Namaste Trump' Event. Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania and daughter Ivanka, will attend a rally at Motera stadium in the city, the political home of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We’re going to have millions and millions of people,” Trump told reporters before heading off Sunday morning. “I hear it’s going to be a big event. Some people say the biggest event they’ve ever had in India. That’s what the prime minister told me, this will be the biggest event they’ve ever had.” Earlier in the day, the American President and his wife were give a grand reception at the Ahmadabad Airport with PM Modi welcoming the first couple of the most powerful democracy in the world. Trump on Monday tweeted in Hindi on his way to India, saying he is eager to visit the country and would be soon meeting all. Trump, on board the special Air Force One aircraft along with his delegation, said in Hindi: "We are eager to visit India. We are on our way and would be soon meeting all". The Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad is well on its way to become the largest cricket stadium in the world as it will host 110,000 spectators, more than doubling its previous capacity of 54,000. The pictures of the venue has already created a lot of buzz among fans and players alike. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly also reacted on the venue which is expected to be inaugurated by US President Donald Trump. “Lovely to see such a massive ,pretty stadium .. Ahmedabad .. have great memories in this ground as a player ,captain ..grew up at Eden with hundred thousand capacity .. (not any more).. can’t wait to see this on 24th,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
