SRH IPL 2025 Retention List: Sunrisers Hyderabad Name 5 Players In List, One Uncapped Indian Included

SRH IPL 2025 Retention List: Sunrisers Hyderabad have name a five-member list which they have retained heading into the IPL 2024 auction.

SRH IPL 2025 Retention List: While SRH have trusted Pat Cummins with the leadership once again, an uncapped Indian has made it to their list of retained players.

SRH IPL 2025 Retention List: Sunrisers Hyderabad have announced their IPL 2025 Retention list. The 2024 runners-up have entrusted Pat Cummins to be their captain while also retaining Abhishek Sharma, uncapped Indian Nitish Kumar Reddy while also showing faith in Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head.

While captain Cummins will get Rs 18 crore, Abhishek fetched Rs 14 crore. Klaasen so far remains the costliest player in IPL 2025 as the Orange Army have retained him for Rs 23 crore. Head will get Rs 14 crore while the Indian all-rounder Reddy will be getting Rs 6 crore. SRH retentions leave them with a purse of Rs 45 crore and only one uncapped player to go for using the Right To Match (RTM).

SRH Finished As Runners-Up In IPL 2024

Notably, SRH had finished as the runners-up in IPL 2024. The Orange Army played an exciting brand of cricket thorughout the season, breaking several run-scoring record but were outplayed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) both in Qualifier 1 and the final. In Travis and Abhishek they discovered an exciting opening partnership while Nitish provided a middle-order batter who can bowl pace. Even Abhishek can roll his arms over with Cummins utility lower down the order already known in the IPL. Klaasen, meanwhile, is one of the world's best batter in the middle-order in white-ball cricket.
