Sanju Samson Out Or Not Out? TV Umpire Gives Contentious Decision In Favour Of Fielding Team In DC vs RR- WATCH
Sanju Samson Out Or Not Out? TV Umpire Michael Gough ruled against the batter in a contentious decision in IPL 2024 DC vs RR.
Sanju Samson Out Or Not Out? Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was deemed out in the 16th over of their 222 run-chase at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Samson, looking for the big hit against Mukesh Kumar, seemed to have found the fielder with Shai Hope taking the catch near the boundary ropes.
The on-field umpires KN Ananthapadmanabhan and Ulhas Gandhe were not too sure whether the catch had been taken cleanly and consulted TV umpire Michael Gough for the catch. Even though a few angles showed that Hope might have been in contact of the ropes when he took the catch, there did not seem to be clear evidence of the fact that Samson was out. Gough, however, felt otherwise and adjudicated Samson to be out.

IPL 2024: Samson Top-Scores But RR Lose To DC
Samson top-scored for RR in their match against DC. He was looking in good touch and with 60 needed off 27 before his dismissal, Rajasthan were still not out of the contest. However, his wicket hurt them big time as RR went on to lose the match by 20 runs, extending their wait for a confirmed berth in the IPL 2024 Playoffs despite them sitting at 16 points.

The RR captain was in disbelief after being given out and had an amiated chat with the umpires before having to leave the field. The wicketkeeper-batter was fined for dissent at umpire's decision, a breach of the IPL code of conduct. RR's remaining three league matches are scheduled against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punhab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
