Pakistan's Kamran Akmal Scripts History, Becomes World's First Wicket-Keeper To Effect 100 Stumpings In T20 Cricket
Kamran Akmal achieved this feat during the National T20 Cup being played in Pakistan. The veteran created history in the match played between Central Punjab and Southern Punjab.
Pakistan's wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has been trolled many times for bad wicket-keeping, missing stumping chances behind the wicket and dropping catches. His team has also suffered many times due to his carelessness, but now surprisingly, he has made a record which no wicket-keeper has attained before in the history of cricket.
The 38-year-old already had made the record for the highest stumpings in T20 cricket, but he has now become the first wicket-keeper in the world to effect 100 stumpings in T20 cricket, the shortest format of the game.
Talking about international cricket, Dhoni has completed 123 stumpings in all formats (T20, ODI, Tests) and he is at the forefront of this list. At number two is Kumar Sangakkara with 99 stumpings.
