As reported by OneCricket, the 21-year old right-arm fast bowler from Delhi will most likely be missing 2-3 weeks of cricket, with the LSG camp taking a huge precaution in the growth, development, and recovery of the young sensation, as the pacer is now making waves even for a slot in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad for India.

Mayank Yadav's IPL 2024 Season In A Nutshell

Merely 3 matches into his IPL career, the Delhi-based pacer is already a hot commodity and is expected to be taken under the wings of Rohit Sharma if a national team call-up comes up. The pacer has shown immense maturity with his variations and stands as a potent threat to opposition batters on quick and lively tracks, where bounce stays even and ball skid past off the pitch.

Mayank Yadav registered the figures of 3/27 in his 4 overs upon debut against Punjab Kings. What impressed the expert the most is that average pace of Indian fast bolwers usually range between 130-135 because Indian bowlers haven't shown the tendency to constantly clock over 145 with each delivery. However, Mayank Yadav has completely set the standard too high and repeated his antics against Royal Challengers Bengaluru with 3/14 in his 4 overs.

However, in terms of performances, Mayank Yadav has been nothing short of excellent but if the pacer sustains constant injury issues, it won't be good for his career ahead and now it will be interesting to see how Mayank Yadav returns after his expected 2-3 week lay-off period, where the pacer will nurse his injury and return when fully fit.
