Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2024 players list: Kolkata Knight Riders walked into the auction with the least amount of players retained and had a massive job of fulfilling the minimum criteria. The two-time IPL winners had a topsy-turvy IPL 2023, but the return of skipper Shreyas Iyer and thre emergence of Rinku Singh have given KKR a much-needed confidence going into the 2024 tournament.

The roster looks formidable at top with the presence of ever-consistent Jason Roy and Afghan wicketkeeper batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz. The middle order looks stacked with the presence of Venkateshwar Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, and Rinku Singh, along with the destructive Windies all-rounder Andre Russell, who has lately been criticised due to being subject to injury-prone fitness. 

The spin department looks well settled with IPL great Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Suyash Sharma as an impact player sometimes. It is the pace department that demands a vital addition for the franchise to form a formidable roster.

The Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise scriped history when they went into an all-time classic auction bid for Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc with Gujarat Titans as they purchased him to make him the most expensive buy in the history of IPL at a price of Rs. 24.75 crore. This purchase gives KKR a much needed boost as they add a world-class overseas fast bowler into their ranks.
