Fans watched another exhilarating encounter in the ongoing edition of the IPL 2023 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants where the Lucknow-based franchise won the game by 1 run on Saturday. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and invited Lucknow Super Giants to bat first. Krunal Pandya’s team had a rough start as they lost a wicket in the third over of the game. Prerak Mankad did try to put up some fight then but then he also departed. Vaibhav Arora scalped the wicket and ended up taking another huge wicket of Marcus Stoinis in the same over. The Lucknow-based franchise were reeling at one point in time, but then Nicholas Pooran came in and played a crucial knock of 58 runs in 30 balls and also added 50 runs with Ayush Badoni and helped LSG score 176/8 in 20 overs. Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 28 for KKR.
For KKR, Rinku Singh played an unbeaten knock of 67 off 33 balls but it was not enough for his team to win the game at Eden Gardens on Saturday. Jason Roy also gave a solid start to KKR as he scored 45 off 28 but LSG’s bowlers were too good especially Ravi Bishnoi who bowled some tight lengths and picked up two vital wickets, restricting KKR to 175/7 in 20 overs.
