KKR vs DC Highlights, IPL 2024: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) faceoff at the Eden Garends in Kolkata on April 29 (Monday). While DC won the toss and elected to bat first, the plan backfired as the team only managed to muster 153/9 in their 20 overs. In response, Phil Salt's blistering innings upfront shattered DC's hopes of making a comeback into the match as KKR reached their target easily.

Earlier, it was a disciplined bowling effort from KKR that helped them keep DC's total to a chasable target. In a tournament where 200 plus totals are being scored for fun, Varun Chakravarthy's 3/15 helped KKR keep the DC innings in check. Harshit Rana (2/28), Vaibhav Arora (2/29), Sunil Narine (1/24) and Mitchell Starc (1/43) were the other wicket-takers even as Starc bowled at an economy of 14.33.

With the bat, KKR virtually finished off the match by the way they aced the powerplay. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine brought together their fifth half-century opening stand as KKR got 79 runs in the first six overs. Eventually, Salt finished with 68 off 33 and was cleaned by Axar Patel (2/18) who also got rid of the other opener for 15 off 10. Rinku Singh, who came in at number 3 for KKR in this match, managed 11 off 11. 

Kuldeep Yadav Top Scores For DC Against KKR

Kuldeep Yadav may not have got a wicket but did leave an impression with the bat to help the side to a respectable first innings total. The southpaw top-scored in DC's innings with 35 off 26, a knock that was studded with 5 fours and a six. Captain Rishabh Pant chipped in with 27 off 20 but the team needed more from him and the batting unit as a whole with the tourists losing 3 wickets inside the powerplay itself.
