Jadeja will be missing the rest of the IPL due to injury. Wishing our Jaadugar a speedy recovery! @imjadeja
CSK is presently at the 9th spot, with just four wins from 11 games. They have just eight points. CSK are left with three more matches and they need to win all three to have a shot at the playoff spot and hope RCB and RR lose their remaining games.
In CSK's match against DC, the spin-bowling allrounder was not included in the playing eleven after he seemed to have injured his arm while fielding during the team's game against Royal Challenges Bangalore. Shivam Dube had replaced the spin-bowling allrounder against DC.
CSK will be up against Mumbai Indians on Thursday followed by games against Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.
Jadeja has not in the best of form in the tournament, managing just 116 runs and five wickets in the 10 matches he has played so far. After a string of failures, Ravindra Jadeja stepped down as CSK captain and handed over to old guard MS Dhoni. Dhoni had relinquished captaincy of CSK at the start of the season.
The break may come as a blessing in disguise for Jadeja ahead of India’s home series against South Africa series and the subsequent England tour.
