IPL Winners List: Title Triumphs, Orange Cap And Purple Cap Winners From 2008 to 2023

IPL 2023 Final: Both GT and CSK have won the IPL trophy before. While GT are the defending champions, CSK have won the competition four times before.

The sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) nears its completion. Only one more match is remaining in IPL 2023- a season which has been remarkable in more ways than one. While the tournament has seen most number of 200 plus totals being scored, it is also the first time that the first and the last match of the season will be played between the same two teams as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Both these teams have lifted the IPL trophy before. While GT are the defending champions and have made it to their second straight final after lifting the trophy in 2022, CSK have emerged victorious four times in the past- 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. With many speculating this could be the last time that MS Dhoni dons the Yellow Jersey, CSK would be more than determined to lift the trophy yet again. On the other hand, GT can script history now becoming only the third team after CSK and Mumbai Indians to claim back-to-back titles.
