With the IPL Auction 2021 set to be held on 18 February, we look at the young talent who would be going under the hammer this year. Here’s a list of teenage players in IPL Auction.

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin from 11 April 2021, but before that all the cricket fans wait for the IPL Auction. The Auction is an unusually pleasing show to watch as you see your favorite players go under the hammer. This year, the IPL Auction 2021 will be held on 18 February and a total of 292 players will undergo the hammer this time around.

Today we look at the teenagers who are involved in the auction and will be among the contenders to win the ‘Emerging Player of The Year’ award. Noor Ahmad Lakanwal is the youngest of the lot and he comes from Afghanistan. Let’s take a look at all the nine teenagers in this year’s IPL.

Noor Ahmad Lakanwal (16 years): Lakanwal is from Afghanistan. He is a left-arm wrist spinner, essentially a chinaman and a right handed batsman. But he is mostly known for his wicket taking ability. He has previously played in the BBL for the Melbourne Renegades and picked up 21 wickets in 21 matches. He made his debut in BBL when he was just 14 years and eight months old. He’s surely someone to look out for this IPL.

Prayas Ray Burman (18 years): This young boy burst on-to the scene in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy and he was the leading wicket-taker for Bengal in the same tournament. He is a wrist spinner and has previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore side. He was the youngest to play the IPL.

Aryan Juyal (19 years): A wicket-keeper batsman from the state of Uttar Pradesh, Juyal belongs to Moradabad. He recently played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament and scored runs with a strike rate of 115.

Vijaykanth Viyaskanth (19 years): Seems like wrist spin is the choice of the new boys who are starting to play cricket. Viyaskanth who is from Sri Lanka has played for Jaffna Stallions and Sri Lanka U19’s.

Jayden Seales (19 years) : IPL is usually dominated by West Indian players. Every year there seems to be a new kid on the block. This year, it is the left arm medium pace bowler, Jayden Seales of Trindad and Tobago. He has played his cricket for West Indies and recently for Trinbago Knight Riders.

Tilak Verma (18 years): He is from Hyderabad and plays for Hyderabad and also has played for India U19’s. He is a hard-hitting batsman and can also roll his arm to bowl some off-spinners.

So that’s all from the list of teenagers who are going to be involved in IPL Auction 2021. Whom are you looking to see in your favorite team, let us know.
