Chahal's impressive record as IPL's highest wicket-taker, with 205 wickets in 160 matches at an average of 22.45 and an economy rate of 7.84, speaks volumes about his value.

Known for his ability to outwit batsmen with his clever spin, Chahal has been a key performer for Rajasthan Royals (2024), Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians in previous IPL seasons.

In addition to Chahal, Punjab Kings also strengthened their squad by acquiring spinners Harpreet Brar and Glenn Maxwell in the 2025 auction. The trio of Chahal, Brar, and Maxwell is expected to boost Punjab's bowling attack.

After Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction, Yuzvendra Chahal expressed his confidence by stating, "I deserve this price."
