GT vs LSG IPL 2023 match was memorable for Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Krunal Pandya. For first time in the history of Indian Premier League, two brothers played against each other as captains. In absence of regular skipper KL Rahul, Krunal has been asked to lead Lucknow Super Giants in rest of IPL 2023. 

Meanwhile, a hilarious incident took place during the toss as GT captain Hardik Pandya had to correct TV presenter Murali Kartik from making a 'massive blunder'. At the toss, LSG skipper Krunal Pandya called heads and it did come up heads but Kartik mistakenly called it tails. However, the mistake was rectified immediately.

Hardik Pandya expressed his emotions as he remembered his late father on the momentous occasion.

"We would have batted first. I told him a secret of the toss and let that be. Obviously, a very emotional day and our father would have been proud of us. He dreamt of it. We are short of words and the family is emotional. Yes, I would like the boys to win here and own this place and express themselves," Hardik Pandya said at the toss.

Gujarat Titans (GT) consolidated their top-spot in IPL 2023 Points Standings with 56-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at world's largest stadium in Ahmedabad. The defending champions are on the verge of becoming first team to qualify for IPL 2023 Playoffs.
