IPL 2021: Sunrisers Hyderabad is the first team to be eliminated from the playoff race. CSK is just one win away from making it to the playoffs.

IPL 2021: There are still about 20 days to go for the final of the Indian Premier League 2021, but even now the picture of the playoffs is yet to be clear. The Delhi Capitals became the first team to go into the playoffs after a double header played on Saturday. With this, the playoff route for Sunrisers Hyderabad was blocked after the defeat to Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals have continued their amazing performance in the tournament. Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs on Saturday. It was Delhi Capitals' 8th win in the 14th season of IPL and with this they got the first position in the points table with 16 points. So far, all the teams that have scored 16 points in the history of IPL so far have got entry in the playoffs.

At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad's bad performance continued against Punjab Kings. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the match by five runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad have played 9 matches in the tournament so far and this was their eighth defeat. Sunrisers Hyderabad also have a poor net run rate and have been left out of the playoff race.

CSK is close to playoffs

Punjab Kings however managed to stay in the playoff race. Punjab Kings registered their fourth win in their 10th match. Punjab Kings will however have to win the remaining four matches to make it to the playoffs.

Apart from these, Chennai Super Kings are just one win away from making it to the playoffs. RCB will also have to win at least three more matches right now. KKR, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals will have to win four of their remaining five matches to make it to the playoffs.
