Football Delhi Makes Path Breaking Move!! India's First Ever FUTSAL League To Get Underway From Feb 26
Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will host the League and the matches will be played between 7 and 9 PM so that more spectators can attend the matches. The final round of the league will be played on the 29th February .
New Delhi: Soccer fans across the national capital region are in for an absolute treat with Football Delhi making a path breaking move to boost the popularity of the 'Beautiful Game' with a first of its kind and landmark initiative. Come February 26 and the football enthusiasts could enjoy every bit of the fast paced format as the maiden Futsal League in the nation will be hosted in Delhi.
It might be notable that a number of Futsal tournament have been played in India but for the first time a Futsal league will take place in the country. Eight teams will be in the fray and to fight for the supremacy. Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will host the League and the matches will be played between 7 and 9 PM so that more spectators can attend the matches. The final round of the league will be played on the 29th February .
Football Delhi President Shaji Prabhakaran said, " Delhi is the first state of the country to host a Futsal League. Futsal is very popular in all football playing nations and it will help grooming the talents at the grassroot level ".Royal Green FC , Valor FC , Roar FC, Signature FC, Vista FC, Timarpur FC, Pole Star FC and All Star FC are the 8 participating teams which will battle it out for the trophy. 120 players will be seen in action in the 4-day event. Futsal Committee chairman Bankim Dutta said, " Football Delhi wants to make this event a historic one and with this Futsal league a new culture will develop in the field of football in Delhi "
