New Delhi: Team India's star batter Virat Kohli is dealing with the worst phase of his international career. The ex-India skipper has not scored a century since the day-night Test against Bangladesh in November 2019. Kohli has not played any cricket since the tour of England. He missed the series against West Indies and won't be part of the Indian team for Zimbabwe ODIs as well. The RCB legend will mark his return to international cricket through the Asia Cup 2022, the tournament in which he will give his all to return back to his old form.

Meanwhile, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has opined on Virat Kohli's form. Ganguly said he hopes Kohli finds his form in the Asia Cup. Virat Kohli averages more than 60 in the Asia Cup and he is also the batsman to score the best score (183 runs) in the history of this tournament.

"Let him practice, let him play matches. He is a big player and has scored plenty of runs. I am hopeful that he will make a comeback. He is just not being able to score a century and I believe he will find his form in the Asia Cup," Ganguly was quoted as saying in an interview with India Today.

Ganguly dismissed the speculation about his candidature as the next President of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He said, "Look, these are all speculations. These are not correct. It doesn't happen that fast. All this is in the hands of the BCCI and the government."

Virat Kohli hasn't scored an international ton for India for over 1000 days. The 33-year-old scored his last ton in international cricket in November 2019. Since then, Virat Kohli scored 2554 runs in 79 innings totaling 68 matches, including 24 half-centuries. During this, his average has been 35.47.
