New Delhi: A high-on-confidence India men's hockey team defeated Olympic and World Champion Belgium 5-4, fighting back from 1-3 down, in a shootout in the first match of the two-legged FIH Pro league 2021-22 in Antwerp after the match ended 3-3 during regulation time. Jamanpreet saved the day for India after scoring a life-saving equalizer in the 58th against Belgium to make it 3-3. The thrilling match between India and Belgium was definitely worth watching.

The Men in Blue earned a shootout bonus after pulling off a draw against The Olympic Gold medalists. For India, Sreejesh produced a heroic save in the shootout for the win.
