A packed Barabati stadium welcomed Rishabh Pant & Co. with loud cheers when they took to the field for the practice session.

New Delhi: Indian and South African cricketers landed in Cuttack's Barabati stadium just 24 hours ahead of India vs South Africa 2nd T20 International of the five-match T20 series. The 2nd T20 International between India and South Africa will be played on Sunday, June 12th. Both Proteas and Indian players hit the field on Saturday evening to get set for the much-awaited encounter. A packed Barabati stadium welcomed Rishabh Pant & Co. with loud cheers when they took to the field for the practice session. Thousands of spectators reached the stadium to witness Team India in action.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to share pictures of the practice session via its official Twitter handle, in which Indian players are seen practicing as well as a huge crowd of spectators present in the stands.

Team India's stand-in captain Rishabh Pant was seen practicing a variety of shots and along with him Shreyas Iyer also spent a lot of time practicing. The Indian camp will aim to make a comeback, level the series 1-1 after a devastating loss in the series opener.

Shreyas Iyer and Umran Malik also feature in the pics posted by BCCI along with captain Pant. Umran did not get a chance to play in the first T20I.  Avesh Khan was included in the playing XI instead of Umran but he failed to deliver. It is highly possible that in Khan's place Umran might be given a chance in India XI in the second T20I.
