Delhi: Rugby, a sport that is not taken very seriously in the cricket-crazy nation, i.e. India. Although India was very close to joining Rugby World Cup in 2018, they could not. But the performance of India's Rugby players has been getting better.

With minimum support, many small organizations are helping kids from Delhi's slums to become rugby players. But in recent news reported by ANI, Delhi's Rugby players are providing Covid-19 relief materials for the people in need. These players are circulating Oxygen cylinders, medicines, and other essential things.

In the tweet, ANI wrote: "Delhi | Rugby players providing oxygen cylinders & ration to needy people during COVID pandemic National level player Aslam says, "I've been playing rugby for Delhi Bulls for last 5 years. Now, we're doing COVID-relief services. We're providing O2 cylinders & other things."

"Since the start of COVID, we're helping people. We were doing 300-400 calls in a day to enquire about oxygen availability. Based on availability, we send people to different places to get oxygen cylinders/refill," says another rugby player Deepak

In a recent Rugby League in Bangalore, people could see India's talent in Rugby. “This is a quick-moving game that requires a high level of fitness. I love the contact and physicality of Rugby League. But what also works really well is playing non-contact with children, who especially love the shape of the oval ball,” said Sarfaraz Khan, a rugby player from India to Telegraph.
