IND vs ENG 2nd Test LIVE Cricket Score Updates: Rohit's Ton, Vital Stand With Rahane Power India To 300/6 At Stumps

IND vs ENG 2nd Test LIVE Cricket Score Updates: Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane stitched a solid stand for the fourth wicket. Captain Virat Kohli, who has scored 72 runs in the 1st Test against England, was bamboozled by a beautiful off-spin from veteran Moin Ali and had to return back to the pavilion without scoring any runs. A magnificent century from team India's star opener Rohit Sharma (161) and his remarkable 162-run partnership with Test specialist Ajinkya Rahane (67) powered India to 300/6 on Day 1 of the India vs England second Test match at Chennai.

In the first innings of Day 1, Rohit and Rahane stitched a solid stand for the fourth wicket after losing skipper Virat (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (21) and Shubman Gill (0) too early.  India lost sixth wicket in form of R Ashwin (13) who was cleaned up by Joe Root.

At Stumps, Rishabh Pant (33) and Axar Patel (5) remain unbeaten and will continue to move forward India's innings on Day 2. For England, Jack Leach and Moin Ali bagged two wickets each while Olly Stone and Joe Root took one wicket each.
