'Fit Enough To Start? Top Fit!': De Ligt's Latest Comment Goes Viral Amidst Recent Snubs
Matthijs De Ligt's latest comment in an interview with BILD has gone viral. Read below.
Matthijs De Ligt has been having tough couple of months at Bayern Munich as the Dutch defender seems to be out of favour from the plans of Thomas Tuchel. The defender signed for the Bavarians in summer of 2022 and was pivotal for them in all competitions, especially in the UEFA Champions League, where he made an iconic goal line clearance against Paris St Germain in the Round of 16.
However, he isn't amongst the fondest for the German coach Thomas Tuchel as inspite of being one of the best defenders present today, De Ligt is strongly rumoured to leave the Bavarians at the end of the summer, with many top clubs looking to pen down a deal with the 24-year old.
The rumours were fuelled up when the star defender was benched in their crucial fixture against table-toppers Bayer Leverkusen and when asked the reason for his snub, the Dutch footballer gave an interesting reply which is now viral and in circulation.
🚨 Matthijs de Ligt situation remains one to watch for the summer transfer window.

Bayer Leverkusen Vs Bayern Munich - Match Report
Bayer Leverkusen are the only unbeaten team across top 5 leagues in Europe and while walking into the fixture against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at BayArena on Saturday, many feared that the Xabi Alonso's men might see their winning streak come to an end but this was not the case as Bayer Leverkusen dismantled the Bavarians in every department by winning the match 3-0, thanks to goals from Josip Stanisic (15'), Alejandro Grimaldo (50') and Jeremie Frimpong (90+5').
With this win, Bayer Leverkusen stretch their unbeaten run to 31 games in all competitions and stand a great chance of equalling the iconic feat of Bayern Munich's incredible 32 games unbeaten run, given if they avoid a defeat against Heidenheim in their next Bundesliga fixture. Bayer Leverkusen currently sit on top of the table with 55 points and lead Bayern by 5 points now.
