Copa America 2024: Argentina, in the absence of their captain and talisman Lionel Messi, finished their group stage as winners of Group A after securing a 2-0 win over Peru, and in the other fixture, Canada managed to play out a goalless stalemanate against 10-man Chile, and the result meant Canada's progression into the quarter-finals as runners-up of Group A.

Unless something dramatic happens in Group B, Canada are all but assured of facing Venezuela for a spot in the semi-finals, whereas, Mexico and Ecuador will be locking horns in what promises to be a feast for the American football fans, as the sides will be playing a virtual Round of 16 match.
