BBC's Coverage Of Wolves vs Liverpool FA Cup Football Match Marred By Pornographic Noises

Lineker tried to laugh off the incident as the sounds were heard when he was presenting the show in a studio at Wolverhampton's Molineux Stadium.

In a shocking incident, BBC's pre-match show of the FA Cup football match played between Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and Liverpool FC on Tuesday was marred by 'sex noise.' The incident happened when footballer turned broadcaster Gary Lineker was taking viewers through the replay of the third-round encounter between the two teams in the tournament.

It was later disclosed that the pornographic noise was actually coming from a mobile phone that had been taped to the back of the seat. The National Broadcaster of the United Kingdom later issued an apology while also initiating an investigation into the incident.

Lineker tried to laugh off the incident as the sounds were heard when he was presenting the show in a studio at Wolverhampton's Molineux Stadium. Alongside him were football experts Paul Ince and Danny Murphy.

Later, ex-England footballer Alan Shearer said on air:  "Somebody's sending something on someone's phone, I think. I don't know whether you heard it at home."

Post the match, Linekar tweeted the picture of the phone that had been taped to his seat which was behind the marred coverage of the game. "Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing," he captioned the post.

In its apology tweet, the BBC said: "We apologise to any viewers offended during the live coverage of the football this evening."

Infamous social media prankster Daniel Jarvis has said that he was behind this entire act. He even shared a video on Twitter in which he can be seen at the same stadium where the match was held.

This is not the first time Jarvis, also known as Jarvo 69, has carried out such a prank. He had earlier been handed a suspension after he collided with England cricketer Jonny Bairstow after invading the pitch at the Oval. He had breached security multiple times during England's Test series against India.
