Five Players From Vijay Hazare Trophy Who Can Trigger A Bidding War In IPL 2022 Auction

Rishi Dhawan of Himachal Pradesh and Yuzvendra Chahal of Haryana are among the top contenders in the list of most bankable players for this year's auction.

New Delhi: The preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will start soon. The auction for the upcoming season will most likely take place in February 2022. In the upcoming auction, IPL franchises will surely try to acquire the players who have performed brilliantly in the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Rishi Dhawan of Himachal Pradesh and Yuzvendra Chahal of Haryana are among the top contenders in the list of most bankable players for this year's auction.

An in-form Chahal was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rishi Dhawan was second in terms of scoring the most runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this season.

Let's have a look at players who can bag millions in this year's auction.

1. Rishi Dhawan: The all-rounder performed brilliantly while playing for Himachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 458 runs in 8 matches. During this, he hit 52 fours and 8 sixes. The all-rounder also stood second in terms of taking the most wickets.

2. Shahrukh Khan: Tamil Nadu's star batter Shahrukh played many great innings in this year's Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played an unbeaten innings of 79 runs against Karnataka. Looking at his overall performance, Shahrukh has scored 737 runs in 33 List A matches. He was part of Punjab Kings earlier, but the franchise released him ahead of the auction.

3. Washington Sundar: Tamil Nadu's Washington Sundar, one of the best star all-rounders of the younger generation, is currently in great form. He has taken 16 wickets in 8 matches in this year's Vijay Hazare Trophy and was ranked third in the list of highest wicket-takers. Sundar has been released by Royal Challengers Bangalore. This time a big bet can be placed on him in the auction.

4. Shivam Mavi: Bowling all-rounder Shivam Mavi has showcased his talent on many occasions. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders. However, KKR has now released him. Shivam has done well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has taken 15 wickets in 7 matches. The star player from Uttar Pradesh took 4 wickets for 48 runs in a match against Delhi.

5. Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzvendra Chahal, who holds the record of taking the maximum wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL), was shockingly released by the franchise ahead of IPL 2022 auction. Chahal, one of the best leg-spinners in the T20 format, is likely to cause a bidding war at the auctions.
