James Anderson To Break Anil Kumble's Mega Record During Ind vs Eng Test Series

England vs Sri Lanka Test Series: England is touring India for a four-match Test series. The first Test match between India and England will be played in Chennai from February 5.

England cricket team's fast bowler James Anderson ii wreaking havoc even at the age of 38. Anderson took six wickets in the first innings in the second Test match being played on the ground of Galle against Sri Lanka.

This lethal bowling form of England Test specialist James Anderson can increase the difficulties of the Indian team. England is touring India for a four-match Test series. The first Test match between India and England will be played in Chennai from February 5. Apart from Anderson, England's another Test specialist Stuart Broad is also in great rhythm. Both bowlers are ready to bring a big challenge for the Indian batsmen.

In the ongoing England vs Sri Lanka Test series, James Anderson attained the record of taking five or more wickets in an innings for the 30th time. Anderson left behind great Australian bowler Glenn McGrath (29) to script history. Now ahead of James Anderson, only Muttiah Muralitharan (67), Shane Warne (37), Anil Kumble (35), Richard Hadlee (36) and Rangana Herath (34) are placed in this list.

Ind vs Eng: James Anderson to break Anil Kumble's record!

James Anderson has taken 606 wickets in 157 Test matches so far. Only Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Shane Warne (708) and Anil Kumble (619) have taken more wickets than him in the history of Test cricket. Anderson is just 14 wickets away from breaking Kumble's record. Looking at his recent form, it seems that he will most likely break Kumble's record during England's tour of India.

Eng v SL: England bundle up Sri Lanka for 381 in first innigs! 

Sri Lanka were all out for 381 runs in the first innings. Veteran player Angelo Mathews scored 110, wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwela scored 92, Dilruwan Perera (67) and captain Dinesh Chandimal scored (52) runs.For England, Anderson took six wickets, Mark Wood took three wickets and Sam Curran picked one wicket. Sri Lanka lost Mathews' wicket in the second over this morning, playing ahead of their overnight score of 229 for four. Anderson sent him back to the pavilion, stopping him to not add many runs to Sri Lanka's overnight total. Mark Wood dismissed debutant Ramesh Mendis for a duck.
