World Cup 2019: Did Zampa tamper ball during India clash? fans suspicious after video on Aussie spinner's action goes viral
Zampa was spotted by fans removing an item from his pocket and pass it between his hands while holding the ball during Australia's clash against Indian at The Oval.
Australians could once again be under the scanner for violating International Cricket Council's code of conduct as their leg spinner Adam Zampa has been accused of ball-tampering by cricket fans who raised questions about the leg spin bowler's actions during Sunday's 36-run defeat to India in the Cricket World Cup.
Zampa was spotted by fans removing an item from his pocket and pass it between his hands while holding the ball during Australia's clash against Indian at The Oval.
Australian captain Aaron Finch has been forced to defend him, saying he was probably using the hand warmers he always has in his pocket.
This incident come a year after then Australia captain Steven Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft colluded to changing the condition of a ball in a Test match against South Africa in Cape Town.
Bancroft was subsequently banned from cricket for ninth months, while Smith and Warner - who are now back in the Australia team - both received 12-month bans. Australia who had won back to back matches against Afghanistan and West Indies in the ICC World Cup, succumbed to their first loss of the tournament to India by 36 runs at the Kennington Oval on Sunday. What's happening here?
