Will quit when no emotions involved: Gautam Gambhir

The 37-year-old confessed his love for the game saying that he is no mood to retire until he keep scoring runs and does not lose the passion and emotions to keep wanting to be a part of the game

Team India World Cup hero Gautam Gambhir opened up regarding his plan for retirement. The opening veteran recently celebrated his birthday by scoring a match-winning ton in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Haryana, helping his side Delhi to reach the semi-finals in the tournament.

The 37-year-old confessed his love for the game saying that he is no mood to retire until he keep scoring runs and does not lose the passion and emotions to keep wanting to be a part of the game.

"No, till the time I keep scoring runs, that makes me happy. You keep doing it. I think scoring runs, winning, coming back to the dressing room happy; being in the winning environment makes me happy. Till the time I have that passion in me, where I want to come back to a happy dressing room, I want to be a part of that happy environment -- I am going to keep going, and the day I feel that there are no emotions involved in it then I would think it's time to go," Gambhir told NDTV Sports.

Gambhir has played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20 matches for India in which he scored 4154, 5238 and 932 runs. His journey in the IPL too has been fantastic. Under his captaincy, KKR has won the IPL title twice.
