Ambati Rayudu, Vijay Shankar and all-rounder Hardik Pandya powered India to a 35-run victory against New Zealand in the fifth and final One Day International match and clinch the limited overs series 4-1.
In the post match presentation, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma collected the trophy and handed it to the youngest member of the team - Shubman Gill as the entire Indian squad celebrated their 4-1 victory. Not only that, but the players also quoted a dialogue of the recently released war-film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ as they said, ‘how’s the josh’’.

“Beating New Zealand 4-1 is a massive achievement; teams have come here in the past and struggled. At home they play good cricket, for us it is a great takeaway. New Zealand has great balance and quality in their squad,” Sharma said at the post-match presentation.
After losing four quick wickets for just 18 runs, Rayudu, Shankar and Kedar Jadhav (34) stabilized the Indian innings and then Pandya made a quickfire 45 in 22 balls towards the end and helped India to post a decent score.
Pandya's brute power was on full display when he whacked leggie Todd Astle for three sixes in as many balls. The all-rounder did not even spare the in-form Boult, pulling him over mid-wicket for another maximum. His cameo included two fours and five sixes.
