WATCH: Virat Kohli scripts history with his 38th ODI century

In Guwahati, Kohli scored 140 off 107 balls while in Vishakhapatnam, he remained unbeaten on 157. It was in the latter that he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record to fastest to 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.

There have been numerous players in the history of the gentlemen’s game who took the sport to a different level. And then there is Virat Kohli whose passion for cricket is gradually taking him at the peak of all those records which have bound the history book of cricket together.

After becoming the fastest batsman to 10,000 ODI runs on this planet so, the Indian skipper set another record on Saturday which changed the face of Indian cricket. While chasing a 284-run total against the West Indies in Pune, Kohli slammed the 3rd consecutive century in this series and became the first Indian do so.

Here’s how Kohli got to his 38th ODI century:

Kohli ended up scoring 107 runs off 119 balls including 10 fours and a six. It was his 38th ton of his ODI career. So far he has scored 397 runs in this series and has been dismissed twice in three innings has only been dismissed once after crossing 10,000 ODI runs. Currently, he is averaging over 60.
