WATCH: Virat Kohli gets 6000 Test runs with this amazing shot
He reached this feat in the 119th inning of his Test career, becoming the 9th fastest batsman in the world to reach up to the 6000-run mark
Virat Kohli has undoubtedly developed a habit of cracking almost every record set by the former Indian cricketing legends. On Friday, the Indian skipper got 6000 Test runs under his belt while batting against England in Southampton.
Ahead of the fourth face-off, Kohli needed 6 runs to alter the record books. He got there with a boundary off James Anderson in the 22nd over of India's first innings on Day 2.

Despite batting phenomenally against the England bowling yet again, he missed his half-century by just 4 runs on the second day in Southampton. In the 42nd over, Sam Curran came up with a perfect delivery to send him back to pavilion.
