India’s 360 batter Suryakumar Yadav unleashed fire on Sunday in the second ODI against Australia in Indore. Surya smashed four back-to-back sixes off Cameron Green in the 2nd ODI. The incident transpired in the 44th over when Green was handed over the ball. Surya started the over with a huge six and followed it up with a fine scoop that crossed the boundary.
Surya played the lofted shot on the third ball over the deep extra cover for a maximum and on the fourth ball he opted for the dip midwicket area to smash the six. Green conceded two runs on the last two balls and a total of 26 runs from that over.
The Mumbai-based batter ended up scoring a half-century off 24 balls. Surya batted towards the end and remained unbeaten on 72 runs in just 37 balls with the help of six fours and six sixes. Surya’s brilliant innings helped India post a huge total of 399 for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. As far as Green is concerned, he gave away 103 runs in 10 overs.

Earlier, India head coach Rahul Dravid also said that the management will continue to support Surya. He said the Mumbai-based batter has the ability to do well.
“I don’t think he needs to worry about the 27th; we’ve picked our team for the World Cup and Surya is in it,” Dravid said.
“We’ve made that decision and we completely back him because he’s got a certain quality and ability that we’ve seen. Yes, we’ve seen those qualities at the moment in T20 cricket, but we know the kind of impact a player like him can make batting at six.
“He can change the course of a game, so we’ve completely backed him. We’re very clear about that. There’s been total clarity on the fact that we’re completely behind him and we know hopefully he’ll be able to turn it around,” he said.
