WATCH: Rashid Khan Awarded Piece Of Land By PSL Franchise Lahore Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars are known to reward players with gifts in presentations inside the dressing room.

Even though Rashid Khan has already tasted a lot of success in his career so far, the leg-spinner received a unique this time around for one of his performances in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Rashid, who plays for the Lahore Qalandars, received a piece of land as a reward by the franchise.

The team is known to reward players with gifts in presentations inside the dressing room after the match and Rashid had earlier won an iPhone 14 for starring in Lahore's win. Rashid scalped 3 wickets for 15 runs as Lahore restricted Multan Sultan to 159 when the latter needed 181 to win.

Recently, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers had picked Rashid Khan as the greatest player to have played the shortest form of the game. Even though there is some merit in his choice, most fans were expecting him to choose the likes of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle or Kieron Pollard but De Villiers picked the Afghanistan captain.

"My greatest T20 player of all time is none other than Rashid Khan. He delivers with bat and ball. Match winner in both departments; he is a livewire in the field and has got the heart of a lion. He always wants to win; he's very competitive, and he's right there with one of the best T20 players. Not one of the best, the best", De Villiers said on SuperSport.

Rashid's To Play for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023

Rashid has so far played 92 matches and picked 112 wickets with a best of 4/24 and an average of 20.83 in the IPL. His economy, considering the shortest format of the game is said to be a batter's game, is a scarcely believable 6.38.

Other than his invaluable contribution with the ball, he has the ability to play brilliant cameos lower down the order which can change the complexion of the match in no time as his IPL strike rate 151.94 suggests.

Rashid was a crucial part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise during his initial years of the T20 tournament but was released by the Orange Army before the Player's Auction of IPL 2022 and was picked by the Gujarat Titans where he has been appointed the vice-captain.

The 24-year-old picked 19 wickets from 16 matches last season.
