WATCH: Marcus Harris sledges Rishabh Pant by asking him for 'Disco' outing
“If you get out, we can go disco,” Harris told Pant. “There’s a pretty good circuit on a Monday night in Perth"
The Australians look like gaining the confidence to sledge the Indians on the field as they were inching towards their first Test victory since the ousting of Steve Smith and David Warner. On the fourth day of the Perth Test, the Aussies thumped the visitors by sending their top 5 back to the dressing room before they could even add 100 runs to the scoreboard.
While India were completely under pressure, youngster Marcus Harris took a moment to chirp around Rishabh Pant right before the last ball of the fourth day.
The Aussie rookie was fielded at the short leg for the final ball of the day with Rishabh Pant tasked with surviving against Mitchell Starc. As Harris came into the field, the stump microphones picked up a hilarious one-liner he tossed up on his opponent.
“If you get out, we can go disco,” Harris told Pant. “There’s a pretty good circuit on a Monday night in Perth.”

The young Indian wicketkeeper didn’t react to it as he had to face just one another quick for the day. But it was indeed a good payback from Harris who had received enough from Pant in the previous innings.
While chasing a 283-run total in Perth, India concluded their 2nd innings at 112/5. They went through a massive top-order collapse after which Pant and Hanuma Vihari took charge. India needed 175 runs at the end of day 4.
