WATCH: Fan breaches security to touch Rohit Sharma's feet, tries to kiss during live match

Soon the security staff cleared the situation and the play resumed without any delay.

Fans breaching the stadium security and entering the field to greet their favourite stars seems to have become the latest trend. After Indian skipper, Virat Kohli experienced the same in both the Test matches against West Indies, his deputy in limited-overs format, Rohit Sharma faced something similar in Vijay Hazare quarter-final game on Sunday.

While chasing a modest 70-run target against Bihar, opener Rohit Sharma provided a good start to Mumbai. After the completion of the 10th over, a fan rushed toward him and bent down to touch his feet.

The fan even tried to plant a kiss on Rohit's cheek:

Since the fans seemed to cross all limits, Rohit reiterated and before the umpires could say, the man ran away towards the stands. Later, Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 33 off 43 balls, carrying the bat to ensure victory for Mumbai.

There have been several incidents when a fan jumps off the fence and enters the field. In the recently concluded 2-match Test series against West Indies, Kohli was approached by fans during the live match at both the venues. They wanted to have selfies with the Indian skipper. But the Hyderabad incident was much hyped as the trespasser tried to plant a kiss on Kohli’s cheek.
