Virat opts to chase in first ODI


New Delhi: India won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat in first ODI at Rangiri international stadium in Dambulla on Sunday.


India have left out Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav from their starting Line-up.


While, the hosts will have services of veteran pacer Lasith Malinga and power hitting all-rounder Thesera Perera in the first ODI. while, Vishwa Fernando makes his debut for Sri Lanka. Having already won test series with an ease, India will begin the search for the World Cup 2019 core but the hosts will have a lot of stake when they face Virat Kohli’s men. The 1996 world champions will have to win two games in this series to qualify directly for the world Cup 2019 in England.
