Virat Kohli slammed for ill-timed Twitter post after attack on CRPF soldiers
Indian skipper Virat Kohli asked his followers to follow their favourite clubs for the upcoming Indian Sports Honours at a time when the entire nation is mourning the death of CRPF soldiers in a deadly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir
Indian skipper Virat Kohli faced heavy backlash on Twitter after he asked his followers to follow their favourite clubs for the upcoming Indian Sports Honours. Kohli’s tweet infuriated the fans since the timing of his tweet was not suitable at all.
Kohli posted the tweet at a time when the entire nation is mourning the death of CRPF soldiers in a deadly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in which at least 37 CRPF jawans were martyred while numerous others were left injured.
Here's how fans reacted on Twitter before Kohli realized his mistake and deleted the post yesterday and came up with a tweet on Friday morning:
I'm shocked after hearing about the attack in Pulwama, heartfelt condolences to the martyred soldiers & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured jawaans.

Following the dreadful incident, the netizens expressed their anger and grief on social media. Several Indian cricketers took to their official Twitter account to condemn this shameful act of Pakistan.
Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has openly challenged Pakistan stating that now a conversation with the neighbouring country has to be on the battlefield.
Yes, let’s talk with the separatists. Yes, let’s talk with Pakistan. But this time conversation can’t be on the table, it has to be in a battle ground. Enough is enough. 18 CRPF personnel killed in IED blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway https://t.co/aa0t0idiHY via @economictimes
