‘Bass Ghoomne Aate Hai’: Pakistan Fans Rue Team’s Embarrassing Loss To USA In T20 World Cup 2024
Pakistan fans minced no words after the team's embarrassing defeat at the hands of USA in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 6.
Pakistan are often labelled as an ‘unpredictable’ team because of the boom-or-bust approach of cricket they play. On their good days, they can win games that are impossible to win against as formidable a team as any, proving they are one of the strongest teams around the world. Still, on their bad days, they will pull a defeat from the jaws of victory against a weak side, which is a very unpredictable outcome for a team of their stature. Something similar happened when they lost their first match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 against co-hosts USA on June 6 (Thursday).
It marked one of the most surprising defeats in the history of of cricket World Cups as USA beat Pakistan in thrilling Super Over clash after the match got tied at 159 runs at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

Following their defeat, their own fans and supporters flooded social media with reactions and memes that went viral within a short span of time. Notably, a video of a young Pakistan fan criticising the team has gone viral. In the clip, the girl condemns the team for their poor performance year after year, questioning the players' commitment and accusing them of coming to the USA for enjoyment.
