After the T20 World Cup Super 12 match against Bangladesh on  Wednesday, India’s star batter Virat Kohli showed a heartwarming gesture by gifting a bat to Litton Das.

Litton scored 21 ball half-century and helped Bangladesh to get above the DLS  par score when rain played spoilsport at the Adelaide Oval. Das amassed  60 runs in just 27 balls and helped Bangladesh come closer to the game. Moments after the match, Kohli gifted a bat to Litton.

Jalal Yunus, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cricket operations chairman has also confirmed the same.

"When we were sitting in the dining hall, Virat Kohli came and gifted a bat to Litton. According to me, it was a moment of inspiration for Litton," Jalal Yunus quoted, BDcrictime Bangla reported.

"Litton is a class batter. We have seen him play classical shots. He is a brilliant player in Tests and ODIs. Recently, he has started playing well in T20Is as well," he added.

India batted first and scored 184/6 in 20 overs. In reply to that, Liton Das starred with the bat for Bangladesh as he made 60 runs in just 27 balls. Rain played spoilsport and then the officials decided to reduce the overs and it turned out to be a 16-over game. The Bangla tigers have then been given the target of 151 runs. Once Litton departed, the Bangla Tigers kept losing wickets at regular intervals and they lost the match by five runs.
