Suryakumar Yadav's String Of Golden Ducks Force Him To Join The List Led By Former India Legend - Details
He was sent to the pavilion by Aston Agar in the 36th over of the final ODI match between India and Australia in Chennai.
India’s 360 batter Suryakumar Yadav is one of the finest T20I batters that Indian cricket has ever produced. With his extraordinary finesse of hitting the ball all around the park, he has constantly been making headlines. But then the Mumbai-based batter has been continuously failing to make a mark in the fifty-over format.
On Wednesday, he made headlines after he went to the pavilion on a golden duck. He was sent to the pavilion by Aston Agar in the 36th over of the final ODI match between India and Australia in Chennai. In the last two ODIS also, Surya did not trouble the scorers. He became the sixth Indian batter to register three back-to-back ducks in ODIs. Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah are on the list already.
Talking about the match, the Men in Blue came under the scanner after a terrible outing in the third ODI on Wednesday. While chasing a tricky total of 270, India were restricted to just 248 runs as Australia clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1. India’s pathetic run in the series made it evident that they are not yet ready for the 50-over World Cup that is set to take place later in the year. There are many loopholes that need to be filled.

Australian spinners starred as Adam Zappa scalped 4 for 45 runs and Aston Agar took two for 41 runs and trapped six Indian batters, conceding just 86 runs in the 20 overs between them. For India, Rohit Sharma started well but then got out for 30 runs. Kohli and Rahul stitched a crucial 69-run stand but could not help India save the game. As a result, Australia defeated India by 21 runs in the third and the final ODI of the series against Australia.
